Prairie Star (Vitis spp. hybrid) is a cold-hardy white hybrid grape cultivar developed by Elmer Swenson in Wisconsin and released in the 1990s. It is valued for its exceptional winter hardiness, early ripening, moderate disease resistance, reliable sugar–acid balance, clean, lightly floral aromatics, and uncommon palate fullness for northern whites.
Cool-fermented to preserve delicate orchard-fruit and spring-blossom aromatics.
Balanced freshness and gentle sweetness define this quaffable, yet distinctive wine.
Pair with: soft-ripened cheeses, Middle Eastern, Moroccan, and East Asian dishes (especially Thai), fresh salads, and cedar-planked salmon.
